Jingles

Apparently there is a problem with speeding traffic on the road where my sister lives in Asheville. To remind people of the importance of slowing down, her neighbors placed this sign in their front yard. The sign reads, "RIP Jingles 7/06." This is, of course, a sober reminder to others that a speeding driver led to the untimely death of their beloved dog Jingles.

But there is no Jingles. Apparently Missy's neighbors made up Jingles solely for the purpose of this sign, presumably in hopes that someone's personal loss would resound with speeding drivers and be an effective means of convincing people to slow down.

I find this both brilliant and hilarious.

I totally heart your sister's neighbors for this - definitely hilarious and also brilliant. My only suggestion is that they put a photo up of "Jingles," because my first thought was that it was a homeless person.

That is smart and hysterical.
